Straightforward Pricing — Greater Commitment Means a Lower Expert Rate
DDQX uses transparent volume pricing for expert support. Students who prefer maximum flexibility can work with Dr. Deason at the standard hourly rate of $400/hour. Bundled packages reduce the effective hourly rate as the level of commitment increases.
Every Waypoint, Journey, and White Coat Pack provides the same caliber of expert support. Larger packages simply reward students who commit to a longer period of structured guidance, with rates declining from $350/hour at 10 hours to $300/hour at 60 hours.
Choose your pack based on how far you want DDQX to travel with you and how much continuity of support you want across milestones. The deeper the commitment, the lower the effective hourly rate.

What is the main difference between Coaching and Tutoring?
Coaching focuses primarily on analysis, strategy, decision-making, prioritization, accountability, and reassessment. Tutoring focuses primarily on live teaching, practice, reasoning, and skill development. The difference is also reflected in how expert time is allocated.
Why do Coaching and Tutoring packages have the same prices?
The package level reflects the scope of the relationship.The expert time is then used differently.For example, a Waypoint Coaching Pack provides 5 live coaching hours plus 5 hours of personalized analysis.A Waypoint Tutoring Pack provides 10 live tutoring hours with reasonable preparation and follow-up between sessions.
Why is only half of a Coaching package live?
Because analysis between sessions is part of the coaching service.For every live hour in a package, another hour is reserved for work such as reviewing materials, developing PSSRs, updating your Progress Map, reassessing new evidence, and preparing for strategic decisions.
Does Coaching include a fixed number of PSSRs?
No.Your analysis time is allocated according to the problems that matter most.One learner may benefit from several focused PSSRs. Another may need fewer but deeper analyses.The goal is to use the available expert time where it will be most useful.
What is the DDQX Progress Map?
The Progress Map is the longitudinal record used to connect findings, decisions, priorities, and new evidence across a coaching relationship.It helps keep the larger strategy visible as individual problems are addressed.
Does Tutoring include work outside the live sessions?
Yes.Tutoring packages may include reasonable preparation, review, follow-up, resource recommendations, and progress tracking between sessions.The core package hours themselves remain live tutoring time.
What is the difference between hourly Tutoring and a Tutoring package?
Hourly Tutoring is designed for focused live help as needed.A package creates a longer instructional relationship with greater continuity, session-to-session planning, and reasonable support between meetings.
Can I buy a standalone PSSR without Coaching?
Yes.Standalone PSSRs are designed for learners who want individualized written analysis without establishing an ongoing coaching relationship.
Can I start with a Strategy Session?
Yes.The one-time $149 Strategy Session is for having a focused conversation before choosing a larger service.
Can I use both Coaching and Tutoring?
Yes, when you need support with both developing your strategy and refining your skills.For example, an exam learner may use Coaching to build and reassess the preparation strategy while using Tutoring to improve question approach, reasoning, or content application.

Does DDQX guarantee exam or admissions outcomes?
No.DDQX provides educational assessment, strategy, coaching, and tutoring. Exam scores, admissions decisions, interview invitations, Match outcomes, and other external results depend on many factors outside DDQX’s control.
